Mission
VERAX Project’s mission is to make public-opinion data more transparent, inspectable and difficult to manipulate.
We want people to look beyond a single headline percentage and examine how opinions differ across groups, while always keeping the complete unfiltered result visible as the shared baseline. The principle is simple: the data does not change—the Lens does.
Our long-term goal is to create a trusted global platform where verified people can express their views without surrendering their public identity, and where journalists, researchers, organisations and ordinary users can inspect the sample sizes, methodology and context behind every result.
VERAX Project does not ask people to blindly trust another polling platform. It gives them the tools to inspect it themselves.
Problem
Traditional polls often reduce complicated public opinion to one headline number. Important context—who participated, how large each subgroup was and how opinions differ between groups is frequently difficult to find or impossible for ordinary people to explore.
Online polls create another problem: bots, duplicate accounts, coordinated campaigns and anonymous manipulation can distort the apparent result. Social-media engagement is then presented as public opinion even when the participants may not represent real, unique people.
This creates a trust gap. People are expected to accept a result without being able to inspect how it was formed. Different audiences can also receive selectively framed interpretations of the same data, reinforcing division while hiding the complete picture.
VERAX Project addresses the need for public-opinion data that people can examine rather than merely believe.
Solution
VERAX Project combines transparent result exploration with verified participation.
Its core interface, the Lens, allows users to filter poll results across clearly labelled groups and compare different perspectives while the original unfiltered result remains visible at all times. Sample sizes and relevant methodology accompany the results so users can judge the strength and limitations of what they are seeing.
The current public prototype demonstrates this interface using clearly identified synthetic data. The planned production platform will support one verified person per account, separating identity verification from public participation so users can remain pseudonymous. Privacy-sensitive verification, data minimisation and protection against duplicate participation are fundamental parts of the architecture—not features added afterward.
Instead of publishing one number and asking everyone to trust it, VERAX Project lets people test the Lens, challenge interpretations and inspect the underlying context themselves.
