As electric vehicles become more common, battery health is becoming one of the most important factors in the value of a used vehicle. However, for many independent garages and used car professionals, battery condition is still difficult to assess, explain, and document in a simple and reliable way.
Volta-Scan aims to help independent garages better understand and present the condition of a used EV battery before a sale. The goal is not only to provide a number, but to create a clear and traceable diagnostic workflow that helps professionals make better decisions, reduce risk, and give buyers more confidence.
The long-term mission is to make battery diagnostics more accessible to garages that do not have the technical resources of large automotive groups, while keeping the process prudent, transparent, and based on verifiable data.

Volta-Scan is building a B2B SaaS platform combined with a diagnostic dongle to help independent garages assess and document the battery condition of used electric vehicles.
The garage connects the dongle to the vehicle. The device collects available battery-related data through the vehicle’s diagnostic interface. This data is then processed by the Volta-Scan platform, which checks the quality and consistency of the session before generating a clear battery report.
The value of Volta-Scan is not only the collection of data. The platform is designed to provide a full diagnostic workflow:
vehicle and session identification;
battery data collection;
data quality checks;
consistency controls;
confidence level;
traceable session history;
clear report generation;
refusal when the data is not sufficient;
support for garages during use.
